4. Payment Terms

4.1 Fees

Paid plans are billed at the rates displayed at the time of purchase. We accept payment via credit card and other methods supported by our payment processor.

4.2 Billing

Billing occurs on a recurring monthly or annual basis depending on your selected plan. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Privacy and Data

5.1 Privacy Policy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

5.2 Third-Party Services

If you connect third-party services (such as Gmail, Google Docs, or Google Sheets) to Housecat, you authorize us to access and process data from those services solely to provide the functionality you configured. You may disconnect any third-party service and delete the associated data at any time from your account settings.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Service Ownership

Housecat and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including all software, designs, and documentation.

6.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of all data and content you provide to the Service (“Your Data”). You grant Housecat a limited, non-exclusive license to use Your Data solely to provide and improve the Service. We will not use Your Data for any other purpose.

7. Termination and Suspension

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting help@housecat.email.

7.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that harms the Service or other users. Where possible, we will provide notice before termination.

7.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. You may request export or deletion of Your Data for up to 30 days after account closure. After that period, we may delete Your Data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Housecat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

9.2 Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in San Francisco, California.

10. General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Housecat regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms.
