Introducing the Housecat Agent

Today we’re introducing the Housecat Agent, an AI agent that lives inside your email inbox.

Email has barely changed in 20 years and is still way too much work. Between the messages you actually need to read, newsletters you meant to unsubscribe from, and the spam and AI-generated marketing, figuring out what deserves your attention can feel like a job in itself. Then you have to write replies, chase follow-ups, and keep everything organized.

We’re building Housecat to make it all easier: a fully functional email inbox you can use every day. And now with a powerful AI agent right alongside it.

Ask your inbox what needs your attention

Start with a question you’d normally have to answer by digging through your messages:

• “What should I work on first?”
• “Which emails are overdue a reply?”
• “Who should I follow up with after my trip to NYC?”

These are the questions that bring us back to our inbox throughout the day. We want Housecat to help you answer them and allow you to get on with your work.

Get help with the reply, too

Once you’ve found an email that needs your attention, Housecat can help you draft a response. It can use your existing Housecat templates, or help you write and manage new templates.

If you regularly send introductions, follow-ups, or meeting confirmations, templates give you a starting point in your own voice. Housecat can fill in the blanks, helping you get a draft together without rewriting the same email over and over.

Hand over the repetitive inbox work

The Housecat Agent can also carry out bulk tasks such as categorizing, labelling, and archiving emails.
