“Housecat, what should I work on next?”

Housecat is your digital chief of staff, keeping track of all your messages and notifications across different tools, and making it easy to see your top priorities for today. Our agent extracts tasks from your emails, Slack and meetings notes, and turns them into a single consolidated list.

The first thing you see in Housecat is a clear view of all of your outstanding tasks. Housecat runs in the cloud 24/7, and you can access it both via the web and on mobile, so you can keep track of everything on the go.

The Housecat agent summarizes things like:

  • Emails that are overdue your reply or a follow-up
“John has been waiting 3 days for a reply”

  • Stale connections
“It’s been 3 weeks since you checked in with the founder of Acme AI, do you want to set up another coffee?”

  • Next steps from meeting notes
“In yesterday’s meeting you committed to send the new deck by EOD”

  • Slack threads you need to read or action
“You need to approve two travel requests in #travel”

Housecat makes it easy to quickly jump to a Slack thread or email that needs your attention. Or if you need more help ask the Housecat agent. No need to copy and paste information, or wrangle with API connections. Housecat has all the information it needs already, and can help you prep for a meeting, reply to an email or carry out research.

Who is eligible?

To be in the first wave of 100 users you’ll need a Google Workspace email address to sign up, either @gmail or a corporate Google Workspace account (unfortunately we don’t support Microsoft 365 / Outlook users yet). We’re prioritizing working with small teams that are already thinking about how to incorporate AI into their workflows, which could be other startups, professional services firms or specific departments within established businesses. We’re designing Housecat for professionals with externally focused roles (sales, GTM, bizops, chief of staff, partnerships, professional services, consulting, VC, or founders/executives).

What should I expect?

We believe in building in public and launching early. We are also so early in the AI adoption cycle, with many companies and individuals experimenting with a range of tools. Our Beta is a way of rapidly getting the product in the hands of users, and then working with them to learn what is working. No matter what happens we’re hoping that you learn something about working with AI and agent tools by the time our testing period comes to an end.

If you sign up you should expect that not everything will work as expected. And you’ll certainly experience bugs and issues! We’ll work hard to polish those as quickly as we can.

The first 3 months of Housecat will be free for all Beta testers (standard business pricing starts at $100 a month). We’ll let you know well in advance of the free trial ending to get your feedback.

Our approach is inspired by the early days of Monzo (a consumer fintech I was an early employee at), which had a similar testing program for our debit card and banking app. We learnt so much by having early users who we spoke with regularly and it made our product immeasurably better. IYKYK.

Why are we doing this?

We’re building Housecat because we think “software should help us spend less time looking at our screens, not more.” The modern productivity stack has become more confusing than ever before, with fragmented SaaS tools that don’t talk to one another and messages piling up across email, Slack and an array of other tools. And across all that chaos and noise it’s so easy to lose track of what you should be working on.

What tools do you support?

For the Beta program Housecat supports connections to the following:

  • Gmail, GDrive, GDocs, GSheets
  • Slack
  • Attio
  • Granola
  • GitHub

Welcome to Housecat!
