Connection Hub

Housecat is a central hub that connects your email, calendar, documents, team chat, and CRM to an AI Agent.

Access to read, update, write and delete data from your business tools is the most sensitive part of any AI system. We have a strong belief that AI agents are inherently dangerous when they can update or delete data, or send messages on your behalf directly. Housecat has taken great care to automatically add security to everything you connect through us.

Send an email to the sales team that summarizes my numbers for the last week

What connections? I see that I can read and draft Gmail but not yet send.

Grant write access at https://auth.housecat.com/connections/gmail/write

Or do you want me to draft instead?

Access granted.

How It Works

Sign in with Google to the central connections hub to see all the services we support out of the box like Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Attio.

When you’re ready to connect data, take advantage of Housecat’s fine-grained levels of access: read, draft, write, archive.

Read grants access to list, search and get data. This grants the ability to read your sensitive business data, but no ability to change data in your tools.

Read examples: Search Gmail, get a Granola transcript, get a Notion database.

Draft grants access to create “draft” data. This grants the ability to create new private data, but no ability to publish or send to others on your behalf. In some tools that don’t have a native concept of drafts, Housecat implements an equivalent. For example in Attio we add “DRAFT” label so you can filter out records in business reports.

Draft examples: Draft a Gmail message, create a private Notion doc, create an Attio company with a draft label.

Write grants access to create “real” data. This grants the ability to create new public data or send things to others on your behalf.

Write examples: Send a Gmail message, create a calendar invite with external attendees, update an Attio company.

Archive grants access to remove data. In some tools that don’t have a native concept of archive (vs hard delete), Housecat implements an equivalent. For example in Attio we add an “ARCHIVED” label so you can create a report to periodically review before deleting.

Archive examples: Archive a Gmail message, cancel a calendar event, archive an Attio person.

Approval Policies and Workflows

After you’ve connected data, take advantage of Housecat’s centralized data policies approval workflows. Out of the box every write or archive the AI Agent does on your behalf requires your explicit review and approval, and is limited to 10 operations a day.

This prevents your ambitious project from spamming your leads, or overwriting all the URLs in your CRM.

Audit Log

You can see a list of recent activity for all connections. This includes when a connection and level was created, updated, or removed, as well as a summary of connection actions.

MCP

Housecat offers a Model Context Protocol (MCP) service at https://auth.housecat.com/mcp. You can use our hub directly with Claude Desktop or Code, and take advantage of the additional security features.
